Nestled within Matilija Canyon, Thacher House is a secluded property just 20 minutes from downtown Ojai. As it is quite remote, we've arranged round-trip transportation for all guests to make the journey as seamless as possible.

WILL THE WEDDING BE OUTDOORS?
Yes. Our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will all take place outdoors. October in Ojai is typically warm during the day and cool after sunset, so we recommend bringing a light layer for the evening.

WHAT SHOULD I KNOW ABOUT THE VENUE?
Thacher House embraces its natural surroundings, with gravel paths, uneven terrain, and grassy areas throughout the property. We recommend choosing footwear accordingly. If you plan to wear heels, block heels or heel protectors are a great option.

CAN I TAKE AN UBER OR LYFT?
Rideshare service to and from the venue is limited and can be unreliable. We strongly encourage guests to use the transportation we've arranged.

CAN I DRIVE MYSELF?
We kindly ask guests to utilize the provided transportation. Parking at the venue is extremely limited.

WHAT WILL THE WEATHER BE LIKE?
October in Ojai is typically warm during the day and cool after sunset. We recommend checking the forecast before you travel and packing accordingly.

CAN I BRING MY CHILDREN?
While we adore your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only celebration. We hope this gives everyone the opportunity to relax and enjoy the weekend.

WHAT DOES “DRESSY CALIFORNIA” MEAN?
Think linen, silk, natural fabrics, an easy dress, elevated seperates, or a button-down and trousers. Jackets optional but not required.
